This is a fruit of Chinese origin, and of around 6 centimetres in diameter. It stands out thanks to its velvet-like and orange skin, as well as to the flavour of its juicy flesh.
Despite its sweetness, it is not one of the fruits with more carbon hydrates content, although it is rich in fibre, which helps to improve the intestinal tract. Also, noteworthy is the contribution of vitamin C and provitamin A, which are transformed into vitamin A as needed by our body and gives us virtues for our eyesight, skin, hair and our immune system.
The best period for peach is between June and September, although the collecting season extends to May and October.
