Of red colour and small size, it has an unmistakable sweet flavour. It also distinguishes for being the only fruit whose seeds are outside its flesh.


It is a fruit rich in vitamins C and E, which help to delay ageing and fight infections. Its low sodium concentration and high potassium content favours the elimination of liquids. It also has astringent properties and prevents the appearance of mouth sores and wounds.


The best period for its consumption goes from February until May, although they can also be found on January and June.
