Kiwi

Kiwi

Its shape is oval and its skin is brown. Inside, the flesh is intense green coloured with black seeds and a white heart. Although its origin is Chinese, it has already become a common fruit for consumption in our homes.

Properties

It specially stands out thanks to its soluble and insoluble fibre, which provides a fairly powerful laxative effect, as well as the property of regulating cholesterol levels and the intestine. Other not very known curiosity is that a kiwi contains twice as much vitamin C as an orange, in addition to having a low calorie intake.

Season

It is best consumed from October to March, although it can be found both in September and April.
